With a combined 50+ years guiding young people and adults through creative practice, Korryn & Christina design intentional art experiences. The Colour Nest is here to help people of all ages to disconnect from daily demands and reconnect through making art.

Hi I’m Korryn!

I’m a visual-arts educator with 20 years registered educational experience. After working in formal educational settings. I have seen firsthand the impact art making can have on wellbeing, whilst also being fun. Over the past two decades I have had the privilege of leading, organising and assisting in cultivating a create community where the Arts are valued.

I live on Brisbane’s northside with my young family and you’ll usually find me on the soccer sidelines at the weekend.

Hi I’m Christina!

I’m a practicing artist and visual-arts educator with 30+ years registered educational experience. I love helping people explore their creative side and build genuine confidence in their art making.   I’ve led programs for NDIS participants children, youth and adults, run Arts Week and showcases. 
I live in Brisbane with my husband, son and our dog Zyro.

I had loads of fun in the art workshop, delivered at my workplace with Christina and Korryn. They were very clear in their explanations of what and how we were to paint and layer the artwork. And it turned out so colourful and is currently hanging on my office wall where everyone comments on it.

Will students learn one or multiple techniques?

All workshops cover a variety of skills. Students explore and develop a range of techniques within each media area, depending on the workshop type.

Are the workshops suitable for beginners, intermediate, or advanced?

Our workshops are designed for everyone, from beginners to intermediate makers. Participants will be guided through painting, drawing or ceramics with clear, step-by-step instruction. With those with advanced skill we will offer a space for creativity and challenge.

Will both Korryn & Christina be teaching all workshops?

Not usually. Depending on the size of the workshops Korryn and Christina attend both. Most workshops are facilitated by one of us. You may see both of us leading sessions at retreats and corporate events.
